Interesting in translating to French if nobody has already asked.

Nobody has, so it appears that you have the job.  If somebody will start 
the new mailing list, we can stop clogging fink-devel with these 
matters. ;-)

Alexander, do you think we could mail back and forth a bit, so that we 
can agree on some sort of policy ? then present that on the new mailing 
list ?
