I followed with interest the exchange about tetex. End of July I had
the "same" trouble to install tetex on a brand new system,
now OSX 10.5.8
~ fink --version
Package manager version: 0.29.2
Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync Wed Jul 29 15:38:54 2009, 10.5,

After several selfupdates I finally managed to get tetex installed:
~ fink list tetex

and it seems OK, but I cannot get xdvi to work.

This libs were installed with the tetex packages.
I can dvips, that looks fine.
I ask Peter, is your xdvi starting up properly, did you get the "same"
lib versions for Xm?
