Hi Joel, First off, beautiful Bird! it's pretty much a guessing game with many
variables.
This time of year is the best time to "buy" and the hardest time to "sell"...
(coming out
of the holiday season, and just before tax season) After that, it will be a
much better
time to sell if you can hang on that long...

I'd have to agree that you have many things going for you with the car,(400,
4-speed
convertible car) and it may take a hit with out the original motor (or even a
motor from
67-69) I'd say a realistic range would be about $16K - $22k (considering the
Barret-Jackson
auctions are coming up and will stir the interest of many would be buyers)
Honestly, the
"Value" of the muscle cars is grossly overinflated driven by too many people
with more
money than common sense as these are typically cars with large production
numbers and they
all came down the assembly line in the same manor for the most part. But
luckily for you
at this point in time, that IS the case and you stand to do well with your car.

Even check some of your areas Classic Car Dealers for similar cars (or
nationally on sites
like Hemmings, Cruise Intl., CollectorCarTrader.com, eBay etc for a good feel
of the current
market.)

Keep us posted and let us know how it goes... what are you looking at to
replace it?

Brett - 67 Drop Top 455! (Oh, and that is the color I was hunting for when I
was looking)

Do you all have an opinion on the value of a car that I might be selling? Here
are the specs:

   68 400 4spd convertible
   85,000 original documented miles
   PHS documented 400 but the block is a 77 400 with 215 heads (330 horse/big
car)
Restored last summer with 80% of the car dissasembled.
   New interior, new top
   Power top that works
restored 15 inch rally II's with new Bfgoodrich rubber
   new flowmaster exhaust
original color seamist green, painted verdoro green. ppg clear coat wet
sanded
a few body gaps are larger than should be. hood/fender alignment worst
cosmetic part of the car
new clutch, disc brake upgrade and vintage air added
engine was recently rebuilt and runs well

Please see photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ and give
me your opinion on how hard it will be to sell and what amount it should likely
go for.

I am only selling to possibly get another one that I like more. Thanks for
any input.

  Joel
