Yes, I can actually remember back that far and most of the memories are with my '67 'bird. My original blockside pivot stud broke and when I went to a local Pontiac dealer, the new stud was too short. They said that the original stud had been supercedeed with another one with the same symptoms you describe. The original part number was 9786072, which is the longer stud. First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... I bought the kit from CI, PN K511. The bellcrank assy seems too short. If I snug up the nut on the assy where it sits in the cradle of the frame bracket, only about 1/2 of the end of the block pivot ball sits in the assy. This makes the clutch push rod assy line up at an angle with the clutch release fork as well. Has anyone used this kit? The box says 67-69 small block kit so that has me thinking maybe its for a Camaro. Anyone have any pics?
