First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... There's the clutch return spring which goes from a bracket on the frame to the fork. That is the only spring they used from the factory. I added a spring from an extra hole in the bellcrank arm to the fork to keep tension on the rod and keep things together. I saw that spring on diagrams for other cars (GTO's?) and it looked like a good idea. Bob S. In a message dated 9/28/2008 10:02:42 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
Funny you should mention that... Mine came apart when the bell crank fell out while I was going down the road at a high rate of acceleration... Thus I made my own extension wire :) Paul Z. 68 350 Coupe S Sterchi wrote: > First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List > ......................................................................... > > Paul, > > Curious...did you use the "clutch extension wire" or just put the spring on the release fork and bellcrank arm? The latter seems to work just fine and I have no idea where to put the extension wire unless it is suppose to go on the motor mount to subframe bolt, which seems lame. **************Looking for simple solutions to your real-life financial challenges?
