The oil pressure safety switch is what Holley recommends. BTW, I still don't 
know what size fuel pump I need, lol. I'll give Butler a call tomorrow.

you want to have a fail safe for the electric pumpyou can use an oil pressure 
sender (the small ones that are just off or on) and wire it to control a relay 
and then that relay would be what powers the pump.  That way if the engine dies 
(resulting in no oil pressure) the pump will shut off.  You would also run a 
wire from the starter solenoid "on" control terminal to the relay so that the 
pump runs when the key is in the start position even when tehre is no oil
