I've read there are 3 differential cases (by ring gear mounting dimension, plus others for posi/non-posi). 1. 2.56 and 2.78, 2. 2.93, 3.08, and 3.23, 3. 3.36, 3.55, 3.90 and 4.33 You can buy a posi unit for any of these. I think Auburn Gear sells one for the 3.08 and up case. Lock-Right (CI) looks like it can fit all three cases. I'd get all the numbers off your rear-end and call Richmond Gear, Auburn Gear, etc. to know what is available for your case and get accurate info. I ran 2.56's and it was great for top end speed but way too luggish. I then ran 2.78's and was happy with the improvement at low end but still a bit luggish. I now have 3.08's (gears that came with my 81' TA rear end) but have not ran the car yet. I have a 5-speed so I have a feeling I will end up with 3.55's as my final gear choice.
