First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List .........................................................................
I used the foam stuff Sears (or maybe it was Home Depot) sells to line your tool box drawers. I took apart the kick panel "flapper" and put the foam in there. Then cut it out about 1/4" hanging over the edges. When you close the kick panel door the foam bends over and seals tight. These were on NON A/C kick panels with the manual operation. My originals were A/C but I never looked at them so don't know if this will work. Since I have V.A. AC I wanted to put non A/C kick panels in so I could manually open them to let fresh air in. I have pics on my website, but my website is through Roadrunner and is down. I have no idea how to get it back up without calling them and I keep forgetting. If you need pics let me know. > > > First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List > ......................................................................... > I've been looking all over for something to use as a replacement for the old > foam that forms the edge seal for the recirc door in the passenger footwell > area for my 69. The old foam has taken a "set" over the years and I'd like > to replace it. Has anyone found any suitable material for that purpose? _________________________________________________________________ Lauren found her dream laptop.
