It has a 2-letter code in the machined half moon and a cast date on it in case someone wishes to restore the car to original condition.
The originals had bleeder screws. I encourage you to get one from Ames so it will look original. Most parts stores will give you one that does not even look correct (no double bails, no bleeders, etc). I don't remember the years that this style was used.
