Bull, don't believe for a moment everyone is like you. Swapping
tags is not "saving the car" it is just plain dishonest.

I would not do it for the hobby and I really don't care what my
buddies think. It is what I think of myself.

Guess who I would never buy a "numbers matching" car from. LOL

Don't now the article about the judge but most refer to donor car
is one they take parts off of and the vin is not a part.

Just my 2 cents.

So again, I think that anyone presented with a totaled (for lack
of a better
term) rare car would pull out all the stops, including swapping
tags to save
the "car".

Which leads up to another question. What makes the "car" what it
is ? 350
duce or TA. Both came down the same line and a lackie assembly
line worker
rivets on a tag... before the tag went on, the car could be
anything. Take
the tags off, its a pile of sheet mental

Just like a block.

A grand prix block is no different than a firebird block. Just a 2
letter
stamping. I have NO problem with re-stamping a block for
restoration
purposes.

Change an XT to a WZ ? I'm all in.

Integrity is a nice word throw around with your buddies over a
beer to make
yourself look better or establish reverence. But deep down in
places you
don't talk about, you and the next guy can be just as underhanded.

"I'm above all that" or "yeah, I'd junk that 69 ram air IV car for
the sake
of the hobby" BS !

So magnanimous you are !!!!
