Yes integrity is more important. If I wanted to keep it I would
fix it. If it was totally wrecked why keep the vin for another
car. It cease to have historical value if you move the vin. Oh
that's right because it is not worth as much. If you told your
states department vehicle registration you had cut the vin number
out of car and placed it on another what would they say?  In most
every place that is what chop shop does and beyond dealing with
stolen cars they get them altering the vins.

If you knew me you wouldn't doubt me. lol
