3 the ignition module
 
But I'm pretty sure it's the ignition module ;-)

Hi Guys, thanks for the suggestions, I am going to check the fuel flow at
4000rpm to make sure it is not running out of fuel.  The current Holley is
brand new, so I don't think it is a carb issue.  I will also check/replace
the coil/dist, and the timing.  I don't know how to check the ignition
module, thus hopefully the other repairs will work.

The biggest symptom seems to be the random high speed cutout - could this be
caused by a defective vacuum advance?

I'll let you know what I find out.
