Definitely something to also check if it does have the stock Cat. I've had two cars where the Cat was starting to fail/plug up and both gave similar symptoms. Would idle ok and under light load would be fine but under more of a load or higher RPM's it would bog and fall flat. Both cases once the Cat was changed (in one case eliminated) they both ran like a rapped ape as My dad would say... Wayne may be onto something here... Brett!
