I also can't install firebug. I downloaded Firebug 1.2.1 and got the to the Add-ons screen which says "Restart to complete instllation". After I restart Firefox there is no trace of Firebug anywhere. I have tried the following:
> Uninstll Firefox and reinstall, then try to install Firebug - doesn't install > Close Firefox, go to Firefox profile manager (run command, type firefox.exe > -p ), delete the existing profile and add a new one, start Firefox, try to > install Firebug - doesn't install I have Firefox 3.0.4 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)) Running on Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit Any help would be amazing as I don't know what I'll do without Firebug.
