#Just a simple question and I am not looking to start any
#wars, just looking for technical input. What would the
#primary diffs between OpenBSD and FreeBSD be?

Some history on *BSD.

In the beginning there was BSDI and it was good.

Berkeley took the original Bell Labs UNIX and rewrote a large portion of it
under a Bell Labs license for universities. They decided to create a UNIX
that was completely free of the Bell Labs licensing restrictions so they
created BSDI (BSD/386). From BSDI was born FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and NetBSD.

FreeBSD - built to run on i386 architecture better than any other UNIX

NetBSD - built to run on any hardware

OpenBSD - started with the NetBSD code and audited the heck out of it to be
the most secure OS

So it all depends on what you want. If you are looking for speed on Intel
architecture and are not overly worried about security go with FreeBSD. If
you are overly worried about security and don't need the extra speed
FreeBSD generates on Intel architecture (or AMD ect.) then go with OpenBSD.
BTW, OpenBSD is pretty quick too. Us *BSD bigots stick together so as long
as you don't eye those darn Linux OSs (or M$) you are safe from retribution
