I feel the "paying-beta-tester" slam is a little out of line, especially
when the alternative is "a more stable and more mature product." I realize
that in the security arena, new typically means "not as secure," but I still
think this is a bit too much of a slam. Unless you have used the product
and have specific points to point out against it, please refrain from such
juvenile posts. Furthermore, your link where "...even Stonesoft's customers
have their doubts..." seems more of a complaint against marketing drivel
being posted to a technical list than an expression of doubt over
Stonegate's abilities in the firewalling arena.
I read your post and it comes across somewhat ridiculing the original
poster. If you can't give good reason for not using a product beyond the
fact that it is new and untested by the community at large, I don't see why
you feel the need to treat someone asking about it as if they are an
uninformed idiot.
