I've got some comments about this.

#1 - the "Use local coldfusion server" checkbox makes a lot of
assumptions that aren't always correct.  Port numbers, file paths,
etc.  Plus, the "local coldfusion server" might actually use IIS not
the internal web server.

#2 - look at the examples the other two options on that dialog.  Root
Folder and Root URL.  Well, if you're not using the local coldfusion
server, those examples don't help a lot.  Not only that, if you're
creating a coldfusion remoting project, why would the example for the
flex root be a flex data services root directory?  As an "example"
that's not even relevant to a Coldfusion Remoting project.

*NOTHING* on that manual page tells you what to do if you're
developing apps for a remote coldfusion server.
