Hehe. My teeth were cut on the 1130 (instead of being a desktop, it _was_ the desk). But that was when Bill Gates was just learning how to program a different kind of processor, so you'd have to say it wasn't quite state-of-the-art by then. > My primary interest is helos and I belong to VUSN (an m$fs group that > flies multi-player on VATSIM) although since going linux full time I > haven't been very active. So far just putzed with the C-172 in FG. When you finally get cvs running you'll find a nice selection and a couple new 3d cockpits (c310 and A4). Both done in a nice "Navy" motif btw :-) > I have been interested in aviation all my life and have been playing > with FS ever since my Apple ][ :-). Same here, only I got the C-64 because it was cheaper and all I really wanted was the FS. IIRC I did play with a couple others (text based) on various other systems before that...but FS was a huge leap forward at the time. > I don't know where I will fit in with the FG project, but I am finally > here :-). My thoughts are (delusions of grandur :-) is helos and > perhaps multi-player ?!?!!?? but I suppose we will see. If not for "delusions of grandeur" we'd all be doing our math on abaci. There has been quite a bit of multi-user/networking work done that I haven't been following closely myself (more updates recently?). But AFAIK there hasn't been anything yet in the helo department (would be a great addition). Welcome to the project and thank you for the interesting intro!
