It's actually a very nice model and I don't think it has too many vertices for modern computers. IIRC it is comparable to the 1903 Wright flyer model's size. It worked fine on my 32mb geforce2 card. We could have a lower detail version of course, but this one is worth setting up and animating. But it does lack a flight dynamics model which in this case is the most difficult part, and the only reason I didn't commit the 3D model a while back. I do not believe we have any elevon controlled jet aircraft or full support for tailess configurations. The shuttle is the closest and I'm not sure what the status is of it.
