45:: Mr. Freeze: Early in the flight, the first time the "v" key is used to switch to a new view, the display freezes for several seconds. The machine appears to be CPU-bound during this time; usually no disk access is observed.
The controls are frozen also, but sim-time appears to pass after a fashion, which means woe betide the pilot who was manuevering when the "v" key was hit. The aircraft will continue to roll, pitch, turn, etc., but the pilot cannot see it (until later) and cannot do anything about it.
