We do have a couple of rather simple recommendations which should be
quite easy to fulfill:

(the "NOTICE"), but even these are quite often ignored.

If anyone's going to provide some sort of post-processing tool which
could be run on our download server before packages are being pulled
together, I don't see a reason why it would not going to be used.
