CPU is Pentium 4, 1.6 GHz on my Dell Inspiron 8200.
Laptop is about 2 years old. 2 GB RAM.
One of our tech guys at work said CPU speed is likely
irrelevent to the graphics performance, and instead
suggests that my 32MB NVIDIA GeForce2 video card
(default setup out of the box) can't keep up. But why
the regular 20-second intervals to this particular
anomaly? Can anyone else weigh in on this particular
video card? Are there options to set to test whether
or not I'm pushing to hard on the graphics (disable
random objects, etc)?
Mike
