Hi Everyone, It's been a while since the last significant update to the AI aircraft downloads website. So I thought it would be time for a significant overhaul. In addition to adding many new paint schemes to existing aircraft, I've also added two new AI aircraft; the Airbus A320, and the Boeing 777. The A320 is basically the same as the regular A320 in CVS, and was build by Frederic Bouvier. The 777 is a model that was originally built for Microsoft flight simulator by Camil Valiquette, and is converted with his permission. Innis Cunningham took care of the conversion to AC3D format and also converted the original textures.
In addition to the aircraft, I've added link to a pdf with documentation on building your own traffic files. Please note that these repaints are designed for AI use, and will not necessarily work with existing "flyable" aircraft. Also, note that some of the repaints, especially the first ones I did, are not of a very high quality. With the exception of the 777, all repaints were done by me, unless indicated otherwise. The 777 repaints were all done by Camil Valiquette, originally for MS FlightSimulator 2000. I just realized I'd forgotten to add the proper credit, so I'll do that in the next update. If you'd like to participate in the development of FlightGear's AI subsystems, I'm always happy to include any repaints you might have made. Feel free to send them to me offlist. Similarly, if you succeed in building working traffic files, I'm also happy to collect and redistribute them.
