In fact, the FAA's Digital Obstruction File is where most of the non-random objects in FlightGear's U.S. scenery come from. It turns out that there are 444 Iowa wind turbines in the Digital Obstruction File, and thus in FlightGear's scenery (available from the fgfsdb). Take a look at: http://www.speakeasy.net/~cmetzler/iowa_wind_turbines_01.jpg http://www.speakeasy.net/~cmetzler/iowa_wind_turbines_02.jpg http://www.speakeasy.net/~cmetzler/iowa_wind_turbines_03.jpg three screenshots I just made. I suspect the windfarms you're interested in having in the scenery are already there. The data needs updating, something I've said I'll do; but it's being delayed while I buy a house (insert terrified look here). What's missing, to my mind, is 1) having more than one wind turbine model, and 2) having them not all turning in perfect synchronicity. -c -- Chris Metzler [EMAIL PROTECTED] (remove "snip-me." to email) "As a child I understood how to give; I have forgotten this grace since I have become civilized." - Chief Luther Standing Bear
