Thank you! I know that fltk-1.1.9 is the best one for me now.

Yes. In fact, I want to develop a series of portable cross-platform 
applications (such as TagSparker available at http://sparkaround.com/download/) 
based on fltk. I hope these applications is portable, small in size and easy to 
support many platforms(as many as possible).

And I am not sure I have understood your advice here completely. Can you 
describe your good results in detail? Do you mean that I can migrate some old 
win9x codes to linux (or just run the win9x binaries with wine) and rewrite 
these codes with fltk-1.3 to support more platforms?
