First of all, you have to be able to convert mp3 to wav or aiff and back.
This is lossy btw. I doubt that many of the original suble sounds will be
preserved. But lets see or hear.

Then you need some editing software. I think most wav editors have a
"mixing" feature, somewhere near copy and paste. It is an alternativ
way of pasting. If you work with a copy of the original wav file
you can check it out first.

A cleaner approach would be an editor with multiple tracks. Like
cool edit pro.
