I don't know if I'd go that far. I am from the south and there are some very
strong art communities intersted in challenging and difficult art. The
review staff of the Dallas Observer apparently isn't in that number, but I
wouldn't issue a blanket statement about the backwards south.
BTW the author was a good 'ol girl and the whole nation elected the scary
president we have.
