Hi Jeff,

I've never tried the below either, in general it might well work, in particular 
it may not quite work for things involving geodatabase but I'm not sure.  In 
9.2 there is far far less difference between workspaces and etl tools than 
there was in 9.1.

I wouldn't want to say we supported this, but it would be an interesting 
experiment.  Note -- when you copied in the .fmw, you'd have to "touch" the 
file to make sure its timestamp is very very new, because the .fmw's that are 
managed by ArcGIS Data Interop get serialized into toolboxes, and they only do 
that if the timestamp on them is newer than what the version in the toolbox 
was...that's all the hints I'm willing to give!
