I solved the "problem": I used absolute paths, which is - in my oppinion
- just a workaround :-)

Note that I don't mean that hardcoding absolute urls in (inherently relocatable) config files is such a good idea, but the fact alone that it made you ask the question what the "." points to seems to demonstrate that it is not in the interest of clarity to do so. :-)
