This thought did actually cross my  mind. The question is whether or not
Fossil  should  assume that  the  intent  of the  user  is  to save  the
password. During cloning  this might be the expected behavior,  but if I
do a sync --once it certainly shouldn't remember that password.

Does anyone remember what the behavior was originally intended to be?
