This is why I should NEVER do these things before having my morning Starbucks
As to the libucl.so.1 - that requirement is satisfied by the UCL installation - So I would recommend updating the documentation to reflect that the UPX install is dependent upon the UCL install From: George A Pace <[email protected]> To: "Stangel, Daniel" <[email protected]>, "[email protected]" <[email protected]>, [email protected] Date: 10/27/2009 08:15 AM Subject: Re: [FOSSology] Some progress .. new problem Sent by: [email protected] My bad - was juggling to many things - Forget the link below - looks like a bible study program that just happens to contain the library I am looking for. So, still searching for the library libucl.so.1 for RHEL5 - And ideally figuring out what the best RPM (on the Redhat distro is preferable) From: George A Pace <[email protected]> To: "Stangel, Daniel" <[email protected]> Cc: [email protected], "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Date: 10/27/2009 08:08 AM Subject: Re: [FOSSology] Some progress .. new problem Sent by: [email protected] Dan, I did a test on the remaining installs just to see what other dependencies I might trip over. This is what I have discovered so far ... 1. The UPX RPM is reporting that it requires the following: libucl.so.1 I found a library containing it here: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/12642221/com/bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386.rpm.html 2. Running a test on "bibletime" spits out the following dependencies rpm -i --test bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libDCOP.so.4 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libclucene.so.0 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkdecore.so.4 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkdefx.so.4 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkdeprint.so.4 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkdesu.so.4 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkdeui.so.4 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkhtml.so.4 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkio.so.4 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkjs.so.1 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkparts.so.2 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkutils.so.1 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libkwalletclient.so.1 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libqt-mt.so.3 is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 libsword-1.5.9.so is needed by bibletime-1.6.5-1.rhel5.i386 I am running off to a meeting - so before I do any searches any ideas on if there is a larger package that contains all of these libraries ? You'll hear no arguments from me on that one. Yum should automatically resolve these on RHEL5/CentOS5 and beyond, so the kind of troubles George is having will gradually go away. Dan P.S. According to http://www.redhat.com/security/updates/errata/ RHEL4 will be completely end-of-life on February 29, 2012. Perhaps we should have a party? _______________________________________________ fossology mailing list [email protected] http://fossology.org/mailman/listinfo/fossology _______________________________________________ fossology mailing list [email protected] http://fossology.org/mailman/listinfo/fossology _______________________________________________ fossology mailing list [email protected] http://fossology.org/mailman/listinfo/fossology
