try struct id_table at the end of uru4000 driver

but that would not work, as uru4000 (the current DigitalPersona driver) is 
designed for touch sensors, while yours is (probably, unless HP changed their 
design significantly) swipe sensor, and thus even if initialization sequences 
are the same, your driver would need to reconstruct the whole image from the 
small stripes from the device
Have you tried complaining to HP? they "support" Linux on their laptops, and 
if you are determined they may be convinced to provide a driver
