I updated to FM16.03 when it came out, and I don't recall being asked if it was a business or personal profile or any kind of profile at all. I also have the full CC installed and have had no issues switching back and forth. On the other hand, both subscriptions are Teams, so maybe the people your IT team talked to don't know what they're talking about. Did you contact tcs...@adobe.com?
