*The cost of living is high and it's a real challenge for any artist.* same here brook. nyc is capitalism, consumerism, and commercialism. artist either flip to commercial work or leave, or exist in a degree of limbo. i think an art movement should emerge that will reflect these unfortunate circumstances. perhaps shake a few folks out of it. though i prefer to focus on beauty, this ugly reality is impossible to ignore.
