It is quit possible you are correct. It is also possible that the
yet-unidentified-chip on the motherboard locks the board to the original
processor. Microsoft has taken major steps to provide an un-hackable Game
system. It seems to me they are seriously testing a lot of new technology on
this machine.

In fact it wouldn't even surprise me if 5 years from now you CAN'T BUY THE
OPERATING SYSTEM. By that I mean, you have to buy a Motherboard/Processor
combo that has the OS embedded into the processor with similar security as
the 360 has now. Thereby forcing EVERYONE to either DITCH MICROSOFT
COMPLETELY or BUY ALL NEW COMPUTERS.

Wouldn't it make sense to assume that since Microsoft has a custom ppc
chip, that they have custom opcodes which a replacement cpu wouldn't
have, and the system would immediately crash/lockout when running with
the wrong cpu? ;)
