I like the OpenBSD statement: https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-tech&m=177425035627562&w=2 You can't add bot-generated or bot-assisted code, at all, because you do not know what the model was trained on and therefore cannot give provenance. The license of the training corpus is unknowable: there are millions of files in it from every conceivable licence, and you cannot relicense it. So you can't include any bot-assisted code *at all ever* because you cannot prove the origins. The subReddit for the Street Fighter games has an admirably short and simple set of reasons for why it bans 100% of bot-generated content. https://bsky.app/profile/faisalhamadah.bsky.social/post/3moqapikny22g This seems like the only safe stance to me. Absolute 100% ban on all code from LLMs or assisted by LLMs. Permanent expulsion from the project for violations. -- Liam Proven ~ Profile: https://about.me/liamproven ~ LinkedIn/X/FB: lproven Email: [email protected] ~ Google: [email protected] IoM: (+44) 7624 227612: UK: (+44) 7939-087884 Czech [+ WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal]: (+420) 702-829-053 _______________________________________________ Freedos-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-devel
