I'm totally fine with NewTiny and other third-party software projects being ran the way that their project owners wished.
I do however feel like there needs to be a line drawn for what is and isn't 3rd party. I am of the personal opinion that FreeDOS should have 1st party compilers, drivers, and core utils. The current Scope: "Any package or program that gets installed as part of the plain DOS installation." Seems to me like it could exclude the tools which could build FreeDOS and other 1st party items from another environment. It could also exclude certain drivers which provide you with a basic FreeDOS experience. So the current scope deserves expansion. I do not feel it controversial to claim: * 1st party - 100% hand coded & documented, but translation is okay * 3rd party - Goes by the project maintainer I also feel like the projects could signify that they are 1st party projects or 3rd party projects with AI with the use of a markdown text file shown at the base directory and a repository tag * AI.md + TAG:"AI" / TAG:"LLM" * 1stPARTY.md + TAG:"1stPARTY" I have come to also agree with later comments, that there's little distinction as to how much Artificial Intelligence is used and where it's used.
