I have asked Dave Witten if he'd give his approval to cut over to cmake,
since David Rowe is lacking headspace for a while and it seems to me
that cutting over would not be too high-risk at this point and would be
the best way for us to get the build further tested and working
everywhere. It would be useful if you can test the MinGW build.
