A little more progress...
I worked around the wx-config issue by re-building wxWidgets statically.
Next Problem: DLL HELL
The freedv executable links against the import library (.dll.a) in lib/
HOWEVER, you still need the runtime library (.dll) which is in bin/. So far
I haven't found a magic incantation that lets me get the full paths of the
runtime libraries (without hardcoding) so that I can automatically pull
them into the NSIS installer.
I was able to install FreeDV on my XP machine at work. I would attempt to
run it where it would tell me it's missing a DLL, so I'd manually copy it
over and do it again. I kept doing this until FreeDV actually ran.
Everything seemed OK but I don't have a good way of connecting my work
laptop to my radio at home so I haven't done a full test.
The only oddity is that it gave an error when I tried to close the
application... Not sure what's going on there.
