Dude, Just slap up a linksys router and you're fine...i block all the ports I don't need and haven't had an "invasion" yet.

CPU temp is a stable 40C. -- Windows: not only do you pay the licensing fees, but you get to buy thousands of dollars of firewalls to protect sections of the network from each other, so that a virus/worm will only take out a few computers.
