So, you removd freevsd-1.4.7 and ALL related files.
Installed the freevsd-1.4.8 RPM.
Extracted the pre-built skel.
Ran vsd-install.pl, accepting the defaults and setting a default skel in the
process.
Executed a vsdadm vs_create command.
Executed vsd-vsbatch.pl command.
Executed a vsboot --start command.
and got the "sh: /etc/rc: no such file or directory"
and "mount: proc already mounted" errors you mentioned.
Is this correct?
What do you see as a prompt when you 'bevs' into your virtual server? Does
the prompt change to reflect the name of the virtual server?
