Yes, unfortunately, so-called social-democrats today are about as neo-con
as the Tories.  Maybe you know the anagram of "PM Tony Blair":
"I'm Tory Plan B."  According to Thatcher's motto -- "TINA" --, the
neo-cons give voters no real choice, but only various faces of basically
the same program.  In the U.S., it's called "Tweedledum / Tweedledee".
Alas, this principle even applies to European "multi-party systems",
where "social-democrats" are aggressively privatizing postal services,
telecoms, public transportation, schools, hospitals, electricity, etc.

Anyway, this doesn't change the statement about privatization of education.

I think the whole deceptive party circus should be abolished, and politicians
should only be elected as individuals with a clear individual program based
on issues instead of deceptive party lines.
