Hi Dan-
I have had 'some' success playing divx videos on my Wallstreet! No
dice yet under 10.4 at all yet, but conditional success under OS9. I
added some divx/avi codec's I scrounged up off my archives (Bit of a
Pack Rat - File Wise and in General). So far, I still can't 'direct'
launch the avi's, but a quick run through 'divx dr ii' turned the
330mb file in about 60sec into a .mov file which runs usably well. In
'fullscreen' mode in quicktime player the video plays smoothly with
the only exception being block-i-ness developing at some of the
'scene' transitions involving extreme changes in visual content (about
once every 4 to 5 minutes or so - this might be a casual relationship
and not causal, fwiw).
I must say that a Wallstreets built in speakers put out incredible
SOUND! I'm no audiophile, but while watching Mythbusters I actually
paused it twice checking to see if I had accidently turned a radio or
a tv on before realizing it was the background audio from the
SHOW~WOW!

Since I only have $20 TOTAL into this machine, I'm thinking about
getting the DVD decoder card for watching 'true' DVD's.

The Battery appears to be very very good and a 14" Portable DVD Player
that also happens to be a working LapTop is a handy thing.
