10.4.11 runs on a Pismo without the heat issue you're experiencing. Go 
back and make sure all your hardware parts are seated properly. Put one 
in, look at it and around it for 10 minutes. Then put the other, and so 
on and so forth. You may want to reinstall as I'm not sure what files 
you securely deleted that could be putting stress on the OS, that 
may...speculation here...that's causing it to overheat; unlikely.
