the video issue. IMHO Pismo's just aren't equipped to deal with video
well -- and it doesn't matter whether it's streaming video or not.

I concur, Pismos can handle low resolution vides in .mov or mp4 format but higher resolution video and especially Flash is just too much for that poor little G3. My old G4 iBook could play YouTube (flash) and most other video. But full screen tended to get bogged down some.

Keep in mind that it's not just a matter of the CPU and it's clock rate. Newer models have a faster system bus, faster video, greater memory capacity and larger / faster harddisks. Some of these items can be upgraded to some extent but...
