 Hi

Well while I am aware of the problems many have had with the iBook G3, this is now the third I have owned personally and have worked on/repaired many for other people.

I've had two 500mhz models and an 800mhz model. None of while suffered this problem, two of which suffered from a worn video cable - which is fed through the big silver hinge and over time rubs from constant opening.

Can I replace a 500 MHz logic board with an 800 MHz board in the G3 iBook 12" white?

Not without swapping other components such as the frame, metal foils, and modem. There might be other parts too.
