All I said, is that this is not needed. Normally at least. So I wouldn't say one should start with that setting to on. But I suppose it's not harmful to have it on, but unecessary. Depending on the card, and your version of Mac OS X, you may need to apply a firmware update or install a new driver." (Though this is not Panther specific compatiblity unfortunately) There seem to be some incarnations of WS machines that do have problems, so even if I didn't have this in either the WS I or WS II, some machines may still have problems. It certainly seems to be fixable.
