Ummmm.  No.  That is the boot key command to force your Mac to boot from a
drive other than the assigned internal Startup disk.  Has nothing to do with
PRAM.

To Zap your PRAM on start hold :"Apple-Option-P-R" all at the same time until
you hear your Mac chime a second time.
