Henry,
Part of the problem is that Norton's sees OSX files, and thinks that they don't belong 
there.
If it's possible for you to do, move OS X to a separate drive, with a separate OS 9 to 
use for
classic. You should find many less issues that way.

What do you recommend for Utilities for both OS X and OS 9? I would value your opinion 
as an
Apple cert tech.
The other thing I have found to be a problem in many of my clients machine is Epson 
drivers.
