Well, if you're using a version older than systemworks 1 (Disk Doctor 6)
then yes, you will mess up your OS X drive. If you're wanting to optimize a
burned cd, use Toast. It has that function built in. You can make it even
easier for Toast if you create a temporary partition and then copy all of
your files to it. Likewise, a 700MB drive or 'permanent' partition can do
the same thing.
